TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
The Belize Worldschooling Hub offers their knowledge to help you fine tune the best transportation options for your family. Please note that the transportation to and from the hub is partially included in the hub's price for those attending all four weeks. Ground transportation from the international airport to San Ignacio and from Hopkins to the airport in Dangriga are included. Transportation to and from Dangriga is also included for the August pop-up. We have recommended options that you may find helpful if you are joining us for a shorter time or if you would prefer to not fly the puddle jumper planes from Dangriga to the international airport.

HOPKINS BEACH OPTIONS
The airport is in Belize City which is about 2.5 hours away.
BUS OPTION
There’s a bus, and that is far and away the cheapest but can also be challenging with a whole family and luggage. $30 taxi between the bus station and the international airport, $10 per person bus ride between Belize City and the top of the Hopkins road.
It does give you a chance to see the country, but it’s not a good option if you get car sick or anxious. They drive fast through the mountains.

PRIVATE DRIVER OPTION
A driver will cost roughly $300. Please let us know if you would like assistance in hiring a driver.

FLIGHT OPTION
You can also fly from the international airport to Dangriga through Maya Island Air or Tropic Air $50-$60 per person, 15 minutes, tiny plane. Transport between Dangriga and Hopkins is included in the cost of both hubs.
JUNGLE BASE TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
Transportation between Hopkins and the Jungle lodging, as well as San Ignacio and the jungle lodging will be provided.
