Our Team
Kristin and Rain Harling
Kristin is a mom of four amazing kids aged 25, 22, 12, and 10. She started out as a sorta, kinda unschooling mom way back in the early aughts. After her oldest insisted on trying school, she helped found Katuah Sudbury School in Asheville, NC, USA. She helped staff and run the school for 5 years until it closed. Since then the kids have unschooled, public schooled, world schooled and more sudbury schooled. Since 2015 she has lived in Belize with 3 of the 4 children. She fell in love with Belize as a college student studying abroad in 1996. She's almost as passionate about Belize as she is about children. She currently lives in Hopkins village, and in addition to running hubs, she sells crochet work, moderates a discord server for world and unschoolers, and teaches breathwork classes.
Rain is the 22 year old son of Kristin and assists with all the tasks of organizing and running both a hub and a home. Rain is also a brilliant artist and an amazing baker. Ask about ordering baked goods while you're here for the hub!
